A video of Bongo star Diamond Platnumz expressing his admiration for American rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has resurfaced.

In the clip, Diamond mentions that while touring the US, Diddy's residence feels like home to him, stating, “…nikiwa kwenye Marekani mara nyingi nakuanga niko kwa mikono yake kwa maana yeye ndio familia.”

Further, Diamond hinted at a meaningful interaction with Diddy without divulging details.

The clip was originally recorded in 2021 upon his return to Tanzania. At the time, Diamond had been to the US for the BET Awards following his nomination in the best international act category where he lost to Nigeria’s Burna Boy.

The video has circulated on social media and gained new attention in the wake of growing sexual assault allegations against Diddy.

The article received widespread backlash from netizens forcing the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to respond. In the response, DCI tweeted a screenshot of the headline with "Fake News" prominently stamped across it.

Bongo artiste Otile Brown has announced that his upcoming release got a gospel twist to it.

In a post on Instagram, the singer noted he will be dropping his first ever gospel song dubbed ‘Hafanani’ on Friday, April 5, 2024.

Sharing his sentiment, he expressed his excitement to sing for the Lord, acknowledging that while he has sung about many things, he has never sung for Him before.

“Let me sing for the Lord , sang about many things but never sang for Him 😔 witness Him in my voice tomorrow,” he stated.

Sakaja Reverses Stance

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja is retracting his previous stance on recording city askaris (kanjos) during arrests, days after authorizing the arrests of individuals filming officers during such incidents.

The County boss emphasized the importance of filming officers to enhance accountability and announced the county's plans to equip kanjos with body cameras to ensure transparency in their work.

However, he cautioned against obstructing officers or inciting the public against them while carrying out their duties.

"To set the records straight, and to be clear, there is no problem whatsoever in recording officers as they perform their duties. If anything, it leads to increased accountability. You can even shoot a movie if you want. What we will not accept is obstructing them or inciting the public to turn against them as they perform their duties," Sakaja stated while addressing the Nairobi County Assembly during the State of Nairobi speech.
