As the cool July winds blow across Kenya, outdoor activities may lose their appeal. However, the chilly weather presents a perfect opportunity for couples to enjoy cosy and creative indoor dates. Here are ten delightful ideas to keep the warmth of love alive:
Cook-off Challenge: Turn your kitchen into a gourmet restaurant. You can choose a dish to prepare, followed by a candlelit dinner together. Try traditional Kenyan dishes or experiment with new recipes.
Movie Marathon: Snuggle under a blanket for a movie marathon. Choose a theme like romantic comedies or Kenyan films, and prepare popcorn and hot chocolate for a cosy experience.
DIY Spa Night: Transform your living room into a spa with scented candles, soothing music, and massages. Pamper yourselves with facials, manicures, and pedicures for a relaxing evening.
Board Games & Puzzles: Rediscover your playful side with board games or puzzles. From Monopoly to Scrabble, enjoy some friendly competition while disconnecting from technology.
Indoor Picnic: Set up a picnic in your living room with blankets and a basket of snacks. Add fairy lights or candles for a romantic ambience while enjoying a leisurely meal together.
Creative Crafting: Spend the evening creating art together. Whether it’s painting, knitting, or DIY home decor, express your creativity with inspiration from online tutorials.
Book Club for Two: Start a mini book club with a book you both enjoy. Discuss it over tea or coffee, deepening your conversations and exploring new literary interests.
Music & Dance Night: Create a playlist of your favourite songs and have a dance party. Learn a new dance style together or simply enjoy dancing in your living room.
Photo Album Creation: Preserve your memories by creating a photo album or scrapbook. Print out favourite photos, decorate with captions and mementoes, and cherish the moments together.
Indoor Stargazing: Project a starry night on your ceiling and watch documentaries about space. It’s a magical way to spend the evening and spark fascinating conversations.
These indoor date ideas promise warmth, fun, and meaningful moments as you embrace the cosy indoors during the chilly season.

Vixen Sarah Gwan's Mysterious Death Sparks Allegations of Foul Play
Late video vixen Sarah Njogu, known as Sarah Gwan, tragically fell from a second-floor balcony in Kasarani on June 25, raising questions about whether her death was accidental or involved foul play. Found in critical condition by her mother, Sarah's father filed a police report suspecting the involvement of Sarah's friends. Despite medical efforts, Sarah passed away four days later.
